When was the last time you gave yourself a WOF?
Join us for a relaxed online event with your fellow academyEX Masters and Postgraduate alumni - full of good conversation, good company, and a little space to check in with yourself.
Our new Director of Learning, Debi Futter-Puati will talk with our very own Perrin Rowland about why wellbeing matters more than ever in how we live, learn, and lead. She’ll also guide us through a light, reflective activity (inspired by the hauora model) to help you tune into what’s going on for you - think a mid-year WOF inside and out.
It’s a chance to reconnect, recharge, and leave feeling a little more in sync. We’d love to see you there.

What happens when you stop waiting for the system to catch up—and build a new one instead?
Cathy Hardinge joined the Master of Technological Futures with no business, no clear roadmap, and just four days' notice. Today, she leads a national movement tackling two of Aotearoa’s biggest challenges: the senior digital divide and ageism.
Through her organisation, Digital Seniors, Cathy has created a volunteer-powered model that provides free, one-on-one digital support to thousands of older New Zealanders. And she's doing more than bridging gaps—she’s flipping the script on how we think about ageing, inclusion, and leadership itself.
Join us for this powerful conversation with a founder who’s proving that leadership doesn’t require a corner office. It requires courage, community, and the conviction to lead from wherever you stand.

This year's AI Hackathon Festival aims to solve problems based on the five key UN Sustainability Goals. And we’re hosting one of their events!
Use cases from NGOs and citizen science groups will be used to provide real problems to solve that are relevant to each location.
Participants are also welcome to bring their own problems to solve and encouraged to share their ideas early so that data sets and technology support can be arranged.
You'll learn many new skills, meet like-minded peers, and network with other participants, sponsors and mentors. At the end of the hackathon, teams will pitch their solution in front of a judging panel who select the winner for that venue.
The best four winners have a chance to pitch their idea at the AI Summit 2025.
