In this online conversation, Lisa Everett shares what she discovered while trialling XP, progress bars, and real-time feedback with Year 11–12 learners. Her action research revealed mixed results in grade changes, but a stronger story emerged beneath the surface: students felt more engaged, teachers gained clearer visibility, and workload dropped in unexpected ways.
