Victoria Mulligan is the Design Principal at X is Y, where she leads the consultancy’s ways of working practice. She is a builder of things - teams, strategies, services and futures - and uses strategic foresight and participatory futures tools to create more resilient and adaptive strategies, and purposeful cultures.
She is the co-founder of the Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland Design Futures Initiative, and has recently been working on a project to map the network of Futures practitioners in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Victoria trained as a psychologist and worked in government and NGOs around the world before joining the private sector. A regular contributor to consumer and academic publications, Victoria is a thought leader at the intersection of design, innovation, business and social good. She lives in Grey Lynn, Auckland with her husband and four young children.
