With a solid educational foundation in Software Development & Service Science from Auckland University of Technology, Thom quickly transitioned into product roles, working across local government and high-growth startups. His career is a testament to his versatility, having jumped head first into Product Management, UX Research, Business Analysis, and Engineering. Dubbed a 'digital unicorn,' Thom's broad skill set enables him to seamlessly integrate technology and strategic insight into academyEX's operations.
Thom is particularly excited about the convergence of AI and human creativity in education. He envisions a future where AI-enhanced tools not only complement but elevate human potential, making significant strides in how we learn and teach. Outside of work, Thom is deeply involved in Auckland's community theatre scene, contributing his talents from painting sets and designing projections to stage managing. His creative flair extends to the kitchen as well, where he has recently rekindled his passion for cooking and baking—with a little help from his Thermomix.
