Matt Ensor is dedicated to helping leaders navigate the evolving role of artificial intelligence. As the founder of a consultancy focused on AI adoption, he works with organisations to explore how AI can enhance decision-making, strategy, and operations without compromising the human element of leadership. In 2011, he was awarded the Prime Minister’s Business Scholarship, enabling him to study Leadership at INSEAD Business School in France, one of the world’s top-ranked business institutions. This experience deepened his understanding of leadership at a global level, reinforcing the importance of adaptability and innovation. In 2018, Matt began exploring what has become Generative AI, when its capabilities were still in their infancy. In 2021, he founded FranklyAI, one of the first companies to integrate Generative AI into practical business solutions. His work led to the world’s first Generative AI integration with Microsoft Teams, which was used by over 2,500 organisations globally. Today, Matt is a director of Kia Ora AI, an organisation focused on accelerating AI adoption in New Zealand. He also serves as Chair and Director across the aged-care, arts, and technology sectors, bringing leadership and strategic oversight to diverse fields. As Chair of the AI Forum of New Zealand’s working group on Generative AI, he actively contributes to shaping AI’s role in business and society.
