The Mind Lab, Tech Futures Lab, and Earth Futures Lab are all faculties of academyEX. AcademyEX is the organisation accredited by NZQA to award a range of micro-credentials, postgraduate certificates and Master’s programmes. Each faculty is focused on one or more of the key themes that academyEX aspires to make impact in: education, technology, leadership, and sustainability, and relevant programmes are delivered by each faculty.

academyEX is far more than a highly accoladed global tertiary education provider, we are also an education technology organisation  who provides white-labelled learning management systems (LMS) and learning content for partners. 

Our team of subject experts also work with organisations to build programmes, courses or sessions that suit your needs, your team and your outcomes. We can provide small face to face workshops working with leadership teams and boards through to large online cohorts of employees focused on impact, new technologies or customer service training.

You most definitely can, and we would love to welcome you back and into our academyEX community to continue your study. Qualifications previously awarded by The Mind Lab and Tech Futures Lab continue to be delivered by academyEX. If you enrol in another qualification anytime from 1st January 2023, it will be awarded by academyEX at graduation, but you will still experience the same innovative and contemporary approach to teaching and learning that The Mind Lab and Tech Futures Lab are known for.

academyEX is a registered Tertiary Education Organisation and accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority to deliver a range of programmes under the New Zealand Education and Training Act 2020 and subsequent amendments. 

We have a Category 1 rating from our External Evaluation and Review, this highest rating possible in New Zealand, meaning that NZQA are highly confident in our educational performance and highly confident in our ability to self assess and improve our learning experience.

Yes, academyEX is a signatory to the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021, and our programmes are approved for delivery both onshore in New Zealand, and offshore distance from wherever you may be based.

Yes, all accredited programmes delivered by academyEX are listed on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework which is recognised internationally.

Yes, at academyEX our delivery models are designed to enable learners from around Aotearoa, New Zealand, and around the world to participate in our programmes. In some programmes all sessions are delivered fully online for all learners, and other sessions such as full-day workshops are delivered in a hybrid way so that learners can choose to attend in person at academyEX HQ, or online.

Our stackable learning means you can take a mix ‘n match approach to building your skills, knowledge and network across programmes, no matter which faculty, so you have a customised toolkit to make change and innovate where it matters most to you.

You can think of micro-credentials as building blocks of learning. Each building block could be credited to larger qualifications (e.g. a Master’s degree) if a specific micro-credential aligns to specific learning outcomes covered in a larger qualification.
